Logan sat there pretending to listen to everything that Scott had to say, even though he actually did here everything that Scott had said. He really wasn't sure about this guy or what he was even talking about. He put his cigar inside his mouth and started puffing it before exhaling. But Logan did know one thing and that was he could have a lot of fun with this guy, especially since his name was on the lame side. "So, the uncle doesn't mind the suit huh?" he asked and then chuckled as he sat there playing with his cigar once more. Finally, Logan stopped playing with his cigar and got very serious now. "And what makes you think I'm really listening now, Ant-Man?" he asked sounding almost annoyed and yet sarcastic at the same time. There was another awkward silence as both men just sat there, one looking at his now full glass of beer and the other one, just still there looking around trying not to piss off Logan. Finally, Logan let out a huge and frustrating sigh as he said damn it to himself. Then he broke the silence as he began to speak to Scott, now letting him know that he did, in fact, hear everything that Scott had just told him. "Look kid, I appreciate you thinking of me as a monster who can't be killed, but I'm a man just like any other, I just have different abilities as most men. So, yes, I can be killed, I just choose to stay alive," he told Scott and then went on speaking.
"And as for all that Quantum Realm stuff," he started. "Sounds like you are more in need of a scientist instead of someone like me," he said as he picked up his glass and began to drink his beer. "Or maybe the Ghostbusters, they deal with shit like that," Logan chuckled after he sat his beer down and looked back at Scott. "Besides, what makes you think I can do any good?" he asked Scott. Logan then took another long drink of his beer and then slammed the glass down, almost breaking it as he went on with his thoughts to Scott. "I can't fight something that isn't there and as for these people who are supposedly disappearing, are you sure they just aren't packing up and moving to get away from other nut jobs?" he asked not necessarily meaning Scott, but in his mind, he knew that Scott was one of those nut jobs, or so he thought. Then Logan went quiet again before getting up, threw some money on the bar and then left Scott where he sat. But once Logan got to the door he stopped and cussed silently to himself as he turned to Scott. "Are you coming? I still have questions," he asked him as he waited for Scott.

Everybody knew the Dyne family and the fact that they are one of the richest in town. They had everything they could ever dream of and yet they still wanted more, except for Hope Dyne. She wanted something different other than material things. She wanted action, adventure mixed with a bit of passion and romance. And none of the guys she's used to dating or even had been set up with fit was she was looking for. Most of them were rich snobs who just wanted her as a trophy wife, and the rest, well they were lacking in just about every department there was a man could fail in.
So bord at staying at home, and not much in the mood to entertain, Hope decided to go to town. Hope went up to her room and got herself ready by changing her clothes and doing her hair and makeup. And once she was satisfied with the way she looked, she grabbed her purse, cell phone and car keys and then headed into town. Once she got into town and before she went to the mall to hang out with some friends, she decided to grab a bit to eat. As she drove around town looking for something to eat, she spotted a restaurant that looked pretty good. So, she pulled into the parking lot and after parking her car, she got out and went in and that's when she saw him. She pushed her sunglasses on top of her head so she could get a better view and what she saw, she was loving.

Logan puffed on his cigar and then blew out the smoke. Then he took a couple of drinks of his beer. And even though he didn't look right away at Scott or even answer him, he did listen to everything that he had to say. Finally, after about 10 minutes or so, Logan turned his head up and at first all Logan did was grunt at him. But Logan let out a gruff type of sigh as he began to speak to him. "I don't care if you sit there," he told Scott as he took another drag off his cigar. Then he knocked the ashes off onto the floor. Logan went silent again as he just sat there playing with his beer a little bit before finally getting around to talking to Scott. "Ant-man huh?" he asked Scott. "Never heard of you, but I'll be sure to call if ants ever start attacking me," he smirked as he chuckled mostly too himself. Then Logan got serious and began to speak to Scott in a more mature and yet still very rough voice.
"So, my name came up huh?" he asked, though he knew everything that Scott had said, Logan did ignore half of the conversation. "So, who recommended me?" he asked in a curious but still having that rough attitude in his voice. He was all for saving the world, it was his job after all, but he just wasn't crazy about helping superheroes that annoyed him or that he didn't even like, which Ant-man was a little of both. But if it had to do with the fate of the world, then he would push his feelings aside and do the right thing. So, Logan took a big drink of her beer and then got really serious this time. "Okay, before I commit to anything, I need to know what exactly is going on, how long it's been going on and who started it," he said. "The second thing I'm going to need to know is am I the only one you need or do you need the rest of the X-Men group as well?" he asked him. |
